SCHICK TECHNOLOGIES CDR
(for taking digital x-rays)

CDR is a computerized imaging system that utilizes an electronic sensor instead of x-ray film.  The sensors produce sharp and clear images that appear almost instantly on the computer screen.

Acquisition of CDR images uses up to 90% less radiation than conventional film rays.  Schick technologies brings the innovations that set the trends for dentistry's future.  The revolutionary Active Pixel Sensor (APS) with CMOS technology delivers high-quality images.

The CDR Software seamlessly integrates with existing practice management systems and allows full control over our digital sensors.  X-ray images can be manipulated with a wide variety of built-in processing tools, annotated with clinical comments, and saved on disk for electronic transfer by modem or long-term archival storage.  Underexposed radiographs can be corrected and accurate calibrated measurements can be taken.

SCHICK TECHNOLOGIES USBCam
(intraoral video camera)

It offers the latest in digital video imaging.  It capsures full motion video and complements the digital dental office.  The USBCam is comfortable and light weight to hold.  It supplies clean illumination from its patented LED source.

Operation of the camera is so simplified that all dental personnel can obtain high quality images easily.  The USBCam is powered by the USB port of the computer in the dental exam room (no external power supply is needed).  The camera is thus lightweight (lighter than an electric toothbrush) and extremely portable.  The images are stored on the patient's electronic dental chart along with other digital images including their x-rays.

Oftentimes insurance claims are facilitated if photos of a tooth (teeth) are available.  The electronic patient chart can then be accessed to provide this important information.  Often that will speed resolution of a claim.
